I recommend that you work on disputing the claim. From my understanding you have an account in collections that is paid, since it is already paid you are going to have to dispute the claim. Here is the quick breakdown on how to do it.
1. Get all the information for your claim
2. Create a dispute letter (there are free ones on the Internet)
3. Make copes then mail it certified to keep tracks of dates.
4. Wait 30 days for response by law credit bureaus must give you one, if they don’t it must be removed!
5. If you don’t get a response send in another letter giving the dates and by law it has to be removed.
There is ton’s of information on disputing claims, get informed and then get it off your credit! Good Luck!

Do you have any documents that state that you are paid in full? If you do, submit the documentation to have the status updated.
HOWEVER, you may be better served by waiting the year and not opening the opportunity for that delinquency to appear longer. If you are not buying a car, house, or other big ticket item just sit tight. If the question does come up – just show your documentation that this account is paid in full.
